Parent PArtnership

At Crowmoor we like to involve the parents in the children's learning as much as we can.

In Beech class we have held morning reading sessions and afternoon story times where our parents have been able to join the children and see what sort of stories and songs we sing at the end of the day. They also came and read the children's favourite stories with them too. Look out for more pictures of our next story time event coming soon!

At Easter the children performed a special bunny song and dance for the parents. Afterwards they came to look at all our hard work in our books.

Whilst learning about Living and Growing we studied the story of The Little Red Hen and invited our grown ups in to learn about text mapping. After telling them the story using our text map the adults worked with the children to help them change their stories using the ideas they generated in class. The children then used their amended text maps to retell their new stories verbally and in writing later in the week.
