The school was recently awarded 1st place in the Shrewsbury in Bloom Schools Wildlife Garden Competition. Well done to all of the Nurture and Gardening Club pupils who worked hard achieving this award. A special well done to Edward Owen, a year 5 pupil, who received a Highly Commended Award in the Young Gardener Category. His certificate was presented to him by The Mayor of Shrewsbury Cllr John Tandy. Also.... A brilliant day was had by all at the Shrewsbury School games on Thursday 19th June 2014. The children competed in a wide range of events, including tennis, golf, hockey, archery, cricket, wheelchair squash, blindolded golden ball, athletics, bowls, cheerleading, cycling and much more! What an exhausting day! We competed against lots of other schools and behaved impeccably. We are certain that we will be brilliant representatives for the county at the next level of the competition.
